A Montreal-based performing artist, art historian and curator, Tamar completed a Ph.D. in the
Department of Art History and Communications Studies at McGill
University in 2009. Her dissertation, entitled "Performative Autopathographies:
Self-Representations of Physical Illness in Contemporary Art," examines works by Hannah Wilke, Jo Spence, Jan Bolwell, Bill
T. Jones, and others.
